CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 13, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FairPoint Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: FRP), a leading provider of advanced communications technology in northern New England, today announced general availability of its Managed Wireless Local Area Network (Managed WLAN) service. FairPoint’s Managed WLAN service extends an organization’s LAN infrastructure without the cost of network wiring, supports corporate and personal devices with secure wireless access to company data and applications, and frees organizations from daily operations and management of wireless infrastructure.

FairPoint’s Managed WLAN provides enterprise-class wireless connectivity that is centrally managed by FairPoint to quickly and proactively resolve any network performance issues. IT managers have around-the-clock access to a simple, cloud-based online system to manage their network preferences, and monitor network status and performance.
