Epson's New PowerLite Ultra Short-Throw Presentation Displays Deliver Bright Images and Versatility for K-12 Classrooms

LONG BEACH, Calif., Jan. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide, today announced new ultra short-throw presentation displays for K-12 classrooms – the Epson PowerLite® 675W, 680 and 685W. Designed for classroom collaboration, the new presentation displays enable individualized instruction with wireless content sharing and offer bright images up to 100-inches with minimal shadows and glare – enhancing communication and inspiring student engagement. Epson's new PowerLite projectors for education will be on display at FETC 2017 in Orlando, Fla. from Jan. 24-27 at Epson booth, #135, and TCEA 2017 in Austin, Texas from Feb. 6-10 at Epson booth, #2355.  

Ideal for BYOD classrooms, the new PowerLite 675W, 680 and 685W offer large, easy-to-see images and wireless functionality to help students learn and collaborate, regardless of where they sit. The PowerLite series now enable instructors to share content between the big screen and wirelessly connected mobile devices for individualized learning. Students can wirelessly participate in discussions by displaying content from Chromebooks, PCs and Mac® computers, as well as iOS and Android devices, with the Epson iProjection wireless display solution. Up to 50 users can connect to the projector simultaneously when used in conjunction with Epson Multi-PC projection, plus the Moderator device management software1. Displaying content from as many as four students simultaneously, it's the perfect tool for showing a variety of content, or for comparing students' work side-by-side2.

The new ultra short-throw presentation displays also offer additional networking capabilities that allow schools to manage up to 1,024 Epson networked displays using the EasyMP® Monitor software or Crestron RoomView®. Teachers can also connect to an access point to share their display with the entire class, without adding more cables. Additionally, using the Message Broadcasting plug-in for EasyMP Monitor, schools can send updates or announcements remotely to up to 1,024 Epson networked displays.
