The visually stunning guide helps novices get comfortable with DIY surface design. Organized into friendly mini-lessons with step-by-step instructions, the Spoonflower Handbook explains the basics of preparing digital art, offers an introduction to color, and demystifies the creation of seamlessly repeating designs.

Co-author Judi Ketteler says, "What I love most about the book (and about Spoonflower) is that it shows you how to create things that could only come from you. We give you seeds of ideas for what you can create with any number of things, from cherished photographs and mementoes, to important dates, favorite sayings, favorite animals, favorite flowers—literally, favorite anything. It's about how you can design around those moments and things you love that you want to capture for yourself or someone else."

The Spoonflower Handbook includes over 30 projects for home and wardrobe, including a recipe tea towel, wall art and portrait pillows made from photos, a baby quilt, and even coloring book wallpaper that allows kids to color on their walls.

"I hope the book is empowering. If you read a chapter, sat down at your computer and said 'I can totally do this!'... that would make me most proud," shares co-author Becka Rahn.

The Spoonflower Handbook features a mixture of photography, screenshots, and illustrations that give readers everything they need for an accessible digital design education. Review copy requests may be made to Traci Niese, Publicist, [email protected].
