MONTGOMERY, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Alabama Interactive, in collaboration with the Alabama Secretary of State, has recently developed a new application which allows pre-filing of required business information to be done online. This new service allows the Secretary of State’s Business Services Division to significantly cut down the processing time for forming a Domestic LLC, which will improve the efficiency of business filings as well as encourage the growth of business in Alabama.
“Until counties begin their participation of online filing, the Secretary of State’s Office is pleased to provide pre-filing of domestic LLCs,” said Secretary John H. Merrill. “Once all documents have been submitted to the Secretary of State’s Office, the new pre-filing option will enable the filer to view the filing on our website much faster than the traditional paper method. Over the next three months our Office is working to provide the pre-filing option to all domestic entities.”
The new online system not only allows users to complete a pre-filing, but also a name reservation (if not previously applied for) all in one transaction, reducing both time and complexity for users. Another significant improvement is the ability for the Secretary of State’s office to populate data from the stored pre-file data. This speeds up the filing process when the filing is forwarded from the county probate office to the Secretary of State.
