SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB) today announced the participation of Bill Toti, president of Cubic Global Defense (CGD) and retired U.S. Navy Captain, at the 7th Annual National Summit on Strategic Communications held in Arlington, Virginia from April 26 – 27. Organized by the nonprofit Strategic Communications Leadership Initiative with the theme of “Leading in the Hyperconnected World,” the Strategic Summit gathers communications and public affairs professionals, senior leaders and business executives from diverse sectors to identify and discuss best-practice strategies that enhance engagement and increase the value of strategic communications for corporations, the military and government.
At the event, Toti will highlight case studies of how large corporations utilized the media during a crisis and how the broad, real-time dissemination of news can profoundly impact business and operational security. Toti will also share how he prepares his team to make strategic and operational decisions in our ‘hyperconnected’ digital world.

As the president of CGD and senior vice president of Cubic Corporation, Toti leads the defense business unit, which spans more than 35 nations. Prior to joining Cubic, Toti served as vice president of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps segment at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services, leading a global team of IT professionals who designed and operated shore networks for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Toti retired in 2006 at the rank of Captain after serving in the U.S. Navy for more than 26 years and in the Pentagon for nine years.
