Crowe Horwath LLP announces new leadership team

CHICAGO, April 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- James "Jim" Powers, the new CEO of Crowe Horwath LLP effective today, has named Joseph P. "Joe" Santucci Jr. as the Crowe chief operating officer and Derek Bang as the firm's chief strategy and innovation officer. Santucci most recently has been the managing principal of Performance Consulting Services, while Bang has been serving as the Crowe chief innovation officer. Crowe is one of the largest public accounting, consulting and technology firms in the U.S.

Santucci's new responsibilities include overseeing the firm's specialized industry groups, firmwide administrative groups and geographic office leaders. He also serves as president of Crowe Horwath University, the firm's internal learning arm. Santucci has a bachelor of science in management information systems from the Ohio State University and has been with Crowe since 1987.

Bang is now responsible for assisting the CEO with developing, communicating and executing Crowe strategic initiatives and will retain responsibility for innovation and new solution development. With Crowe since 2005, Bang is a CPA and has a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a master of business administration degree from Indiana University.
