Consumers Energy Earns Recognition for Commitment to Providing Careers to Military Veterans

JACKSON, Mich., Aug. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency has recognized Consumers Energy as a "veteran-friendly" employer because of its commitment to recruit, train and retain men and women who have served their country.

The state agency has awarded the company bronze-level achievement as a veteran-friendly employer. The recognition will assist Consumers Energy in its ongoing employee recruitment efforts as Michigan's largest energy provider.

The agency's Veteran-Friendly Employer program helps qualified organizations recruit and retain top veteran talent while providing others a road map to improve their recruitment efforts.
