"Last year we raised additional capital to accelerate our growth. While we already have a presence in San Jose with CBC Business Credit our ABL lending group, Chris is the first piece in our growth plans for expanding commercial banking in the South Bay independent of our ABL group. Chris brings over 25 years of experience banking Santa Clara County businesses," said Terry A. Peterson, President and CEO of California Bank of Commerce.

Previously, Morin was the EVP and Regional Director of Commercial Banking for the Greater Bay Area for Scott Valley Bank where he led the commercial banking team for over four years. Morin was also a commercial banker for City National Bank and Citibank.

“I am excited to join California Bank of Commerce. The Bank, via its entrepreneurial management style, affords its bankers the ability to be nimble, creative, and competitive. This uniqueness has contributed to its success. I was also attracted to the Bank's vision and growth strategies, and I look forward to expanding its presence in the Santa Clara region,” said Morin.

“We continue attracting the very best business bankers to our Team, and we’re very excited to have Chris Morin leading our commercial banking efforts in the South Bay,” said Peterson.
