ChopChop Kids Appoints New Chair and Vice-Chair to Board of Directors

ChopChop Kids, the nonprofit publisher of the award-winning ChopChop Magazine: The Fun Cooking Magazine for Kids, recently elected two new officers to serve on the organization's Board of Directors in accordance to ChopChop's bylaws. These appointments will further ChopChop's mission of inspiring and teaching kids to cook real food with their families and help continue to drive the organization's extraordinary growth.

Lisa Simpson, a pediatrician and President and CEO of AcademyHealth, a leading national organization serving the fields of health services and policy research, will serve as the Chair of ChopChop's Board for the next three years. "It has been an honor and a joy to be involved with ChopChop since its inception. As a pediatrician who loves to cook, I believe in ChopChop both professionally and personally!"

Prior to joining AcademyHealth, Dr. Simpson was director of the Child Policy Research Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and professor of pediatrics in the Division of Health Policy and Clinical Effectiveness, Department of Pediatrics, University of Cincinnati. Dr. Simpson is a nationally recognized health policy researcher and pediatrician and a passionate advocate for the translation of research into policy and practice.

Dr. Simpson will be joined by Andrew Steinberg as Vice-Chair of the Board. Mr. Steinberg is a consultant and brand strategist for publishing, entertainment, and fashion companies, including his presidency at Modern Publishing, a division of Kappa Books Publishers, LLC focusing on expanding new revenue models. Mr. Steinberg's career began in commercial and television production. While an agent at International Creative Management, he worked with award-winning clients, networks, studios, and publishing companies. Mr. Steinberg is recognized for his ability to help clients expand their brands with a multi-platform approach including media partnerships, merchandising, licensing, and publishing.
