Chemtura Announces Price Increase on Emerald Innovation(TM) 3000 Flame Retardant

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 25, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Chemtura Corporation (NYSE: CHMT) (EURONEXT: CHMT) today announced a price increase of up to US$3.50 per kilogram for its Emerald Innovation™ 3000 flame retardant product, effective for orders confirmed on or after October 15, 2015, or as contracts allow. With the successful  completion of commercial and technical evaluations of the Emerald Innovation 3000 product, this pricing change reflects value that is commensurate with the technological investment and improved benefits of the product over prior technologies.

This price increase is necessary to sustain investment in Chemtura’s Great Lakes Solutions business, but it is not anticipated to have a material effect upon the consolidated profitability and cash flows of Chemtura Corporation.
