C&T Systems Announces New Services for Connecticut Residents

July 9, 2015 8:16 AM EDT

Vernon, CT (PRWEB) July 09, 2015

C&T Systems, a full-service custom electronics and smart home integration company, today announced new installation services for Connecticut residents involving updating outdated LiteTouch lighting systems with state-of-the-art Lutron QS systems. This effort to replace older lighting systems is a landmark expansion for C&T Systems' business and will also benefit the local community.

According to CePro, for 26 years, LiteTouch brought automated lighting systems to American homes. Then in 2012, Savant Systems acquired LiteTouch and used the platform in an effort to create their own lighting control system. Today, LiteTouch products are no longer being manufactured or distributed and need to be replaced with a new control system.

Currently, there is not a direct retrofit system to replace LiteTouch, and until those parts are available, C&T Systems, which has a licensed electrical department, has the ability to replace LiteTouch systems right now.

"LiteTouch is no longer available, however, a direct retrofit application is currently being developed by Lutron and will become a great alternative in the future," Joe Colangelo, President of C&T Systems said. "In the meantime, our team is still able to do the work without a direct retrofit replacement system, which puts us ahead of the tide."

As electrical contractors and automation experts, C&T Systems can handle every aspect of the design-build process. They recently finished an impressive project at a home where they gutted a pre-existing LiteTouch system, did all the rewiring, reframed the wall, replaced the sheetrock, and built all of the equipment in-house.

"It was an extensive process," Colangelo said. "We developed the new QS system in the shop by temporarily connecting and preprogramming many of the new components in our shop. We had a short time frame to do the retrofit on site, and needed to be well prepared. It came out great. The system worked, and we had a happy customer!"

Colangelo is predicting that the Lutron QS lighting control system replacement for failing LiteTouch systems is going to become popular, and many families with LiteTouch will need a lighting control upgrade. The benefit of working with C&T Systems is that it's a one-stop shop for everything involving home technology--including the electrical work. Eventually, LiteTouch parts will only be available on a limited and potentially costly basis on merchant sites like eBay. Therefore, C&T Systems is stressing the importance of replacing LiteTouch lighting control systems now.

The result of this effort will not only be new and improved lighting for Connecticut families, but also an increase in C&T Systems' smart home work across the state.
