Brain Health Management Facility Launches New Brand, Cerebrum Health Centers in Dallas and Atlanta Treats Neurological Disorders

October 1, 2015 2:26 PM EDT

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A leading brain health management and rehabilitation facility, formerly known as Carrick Brain Centers, today announced the company has rebranded as Cerebrum Health Centers following a leadership reorganization, including separation from former medical director, Dr. Frederick Carrick. Under new leadership, Cerebrum will continue providing treatment in Dallas and Atlanta for patients suffering from degeneration and injury of the brain and central nervous system, including concussions, stroke, dystonia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, post-traumatic stress disorder and more.

“This reorganization positions Cerebrum for long-term success and allows us to continue offering hope to patients who have traumatic brain injuries or neurological disorders but have been unable to find treatments that improve their quality of life,” said Ken Beam, CEO of Cerebrum. “Cerebrum’s medical team provides innovative therapies to address each patient’s specific condition and symptoms to help restore neurological integrity.”

Cerebrum’s patient care protocol includes extensive, research-backed examinations to identify impairments that may limit brain function. Led by a team of board-certified, functional neurologists, each patient receives a customized treatment program, including intensive in-office therapy and in-home exercises. The multi-disciplinary team measures each patient’s progress and adjusts treatment to achieve desired outcomes.

“Our brains have an inherent ability to repair themselves; therefore, by examining and treating each patient on a case-by-case basis, we’ve been able to achieve quality outcomes,” said Dr. Sandeep Vaid, medical director for Cerebrum Health Center’s Atlanta clinic. “By targeting affected areas of the brain, we are able to redirect or enhance existing neural pathways in our patients. Coupled with a metabolic approach that investigates the neuro endocrine, neuro immune and neuro chemical aspects of our patients, Cerebrum positions patients for a successful recovery.”

Cerebrum’s treatments include use of a patented Off Vertical Axis Rotational Device, known as the OVARD chair, which stimulates neural activity in specifically targeted regions on the brain. In addition, Cerebrum’s medical team uses repetitive peripheral somatosensory stimulation to help reactivate the nervous system where a patient’s brain function may have been compromised.

Cerebrum’s tailored therapies have helped patients experience restorative healing and overcome brain disorders, as evidenced by the facility’s testimonials from Marcus Luttrell, former Navy SEAL; Darren Woodson, former Dallas Cowboy; and countless other patients who have shared their success stories on Cerebrum’s website.
