The launch of this new plan will benefit Roots of Hope, a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower the youth of Cuba so they may become the authors of their own futures. Boost has made a commitment to donate $10,000 to the charity. The donated funds will help support programs like Tech4Cuba, which provides youth in Cuba the tools – cell phones, flash drives and tablets – and skills necessary to build a better future for themselves.

“Boost Mobile has supported youth organizations since the brand’s inception in 2002,” said Draper. “Roots of Hope is a wonderful organization that helps empower Cuban youth, and we look forward to working with them and donating resources to their cause.”

“Our mission at Roots of Hope has quite literally been to boost the connectivity of youth in Cuba so that they can more fully realize their potential,” said Raul Moas, executive director-Roots of Hope. “Boost Mobile understands the power of technology to empower people and communities alike, and it's simply awesome to be working together in building bridges between youth on and off the island – one phone call and text message at a time.”
