“Somewhere along the way, everyone has had a teacher that played a vital role in their life,” said Misty Fontenot, Senior Vice President of Operations for Books-A-Million. “They help instill a love for learning and nourished our desire to continue a lifetime of education through reading. Sometimes the important role teachers have goes underappreciated and we are eager to celebrate the work they do with Educator Week.”

Educator Week gives students the chance to show their appreciation for their favorite teacher by nominating them to win a $1,000 Books-A-Million gift card. From March 29 to April 10, students can go to Books-A-Million’s Facebook page and nominate their favorite teacher to win.

“We are excited to give away a $1,000 gift card to a well-deserving teacher,” said Fontenot. “What an honor to be nominated by your students and then win a Books-A-Million gift card on top of that!”

In addition to the kickoff event and gift card giveaways, Books-A-Million Educator Card holders will save 25% on select in-store items purchased during Educator Week.
