Blue Calypso, Inc. Announces Date Set for Markman Hearing

DALLAS, April 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Blue Calypso, Inc., (OTCBB: BCYP), developer of patented mobile consumer engagement and social advocacy solutions for retailers and product manufacturers announced today that the Court has scheduled a Claim Construction Hearing, or "Markman hearing" for June 29, 2015 in the Eastern District of Texas for Blue Calypso's patent infringement lawsuits against Groupon (Nasdaq: GRPN), Foursquare, Yelp (Nasdaq: YELP) and IZEA (OTCQB: IZEA).

The Markman hearing is a critical pre-trial event in the long process of a patent infringement lawsuit. In the Markman hearing the Court is required to construe the wording of the claims. Many times, the Court's construction is dispositive of the case because it clarifies the issues of patent infringement.
