BancorpSouth, Inc. Announces Increase in Quarterly Dividend to $0.125 per Common Share

TUPELO, Miss., July 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- At its regular quarterly meeting today, the Board of Directors of BancorpSouth, Inc. (NYSE: BXS) declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.125 per common share, which represents an increase of $0.025 per common share, or 25 percent, compared to its most recent dividend of $0.10 paid on July 1, 2016. The dividend is payable October 3, 2016 to shareholders of record at the close of business on September 15, 2016.
BancorpSouth earlier reported financial results for the second quarter of 2016. Net income was $34.7 million, or $0.37 per diluted share, and net operating income – excluding MSR was $37.2 million, or $0.39 per diluted share.
