Henderson, KY (PRWEB) August 01, 2015

Thirty years. Over 250 bands. One riverfront location. One of the first festivals of its kind in Henderson, Kentucky, Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival celebrates the area's western Kentucky music heritage with two days of live music on the riverfront. This year, the event is scheduled for Friday August 7 and Saturday August 8 in Audubon Mill Park.

"We are very fortunate to have a wonderful group of volunteers who put their heads together each year to find the right music, encourage community partnerships and create a well-rounded, family-friendly event," said Bluegrass committee member Jessica Mitchell.

This year, the event has expanded its folklife activities for two additional hours in the late afternoon, and the Audubon Flyers Disc Golf Club has prepared a new disc golf mini course at the riverfront for all ages.
