Avid psychedelic rock concert poster collector from Vintage Rock Posters announces finding a 1969 Rolling Stones Altamont concert poster. The Altamont concert was billed as the Woodstock of the West featuring some of the top rock acts of the late 1960s. According to Hawley, "The Rolling Stones Altamont concert poster seller attended the concert. The seller remembers that the posters were handed out and available for purchase at the show. The poster features a promo photo of the Rolling Stones. There were two versions - olive green and yellow. Both versions were printed on thin rollable paper and measure approximately 11 x 17 inches in size. Posters that are in better condition are believed to be still in circulation."

Hawley adds, "Altamont was slated as a free concert and 300,000 fans showed up. The Oakland chapter of the Hells Angels was hired to provide security. They were paid in beer. After a day of drinking, the mood of the Hells Angles and the crowd got antagonistic. Needless to say, it was a crazy night for all band members and the audience."
