American Capital Strategies Ltd. (Nasdaq: ACAS) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a regular quarterly dividend of $1.01 per common share, payable on April 1, 2008 to shareholders of record on March 7.
American Capital issued guidance for its dividend schedule over 2008: the Company expects to increase its dividend to $1.03 in Q2, $1.05 in Q3 and $1.10 in Q4 2008. These new dividends would represent a 13%, 14% and 10% increase, respectively, from the dividends declared in the same periods in 2007.
The Company also issued guidance for its FY08 EPS: American Capital expects to report $0.73 to $0.78, which may not compare to the Street consensus of $3.43.
