According to the National Association of Realtors, people who purchased their home between 2005 and 2007 are still struggling with an average of only $3,000 equity in their homes. Compare to people who bought within the past year with an average of $31,000 equity or $138,000 for owners with over 20 years.

"America's Most Expensive Zip Codes"
Northern California's Silicon Valley is the most expensive housing market in the United States with three zip codes in the top ten. The #1 spot is in Atherton, California with a median home price over $10 million. The #2 zip code is Sagaponack, New York in the Hamptons at $7.4 million and #3 is zip code 10012 in Manhattan at $7.3 million.

"Julia Child's French Home Is For Sale"
Julia Child's vacation home in Provence, France is for sale asking approximately $880,000 (USD). The home near Cannes includes four bedrooms, four baths, pool and 1,614 square feet. The kitchen is a replica of Julia's Cambridge, Massachusetts kitchen which is now in the Smithsonian.

"America's Most Expensive Home Gets Pricier"
America's most expensive home, modeled after the Palace of Versailles in France, is back on the market at $159 million - an increase from the previous price of $139 million. The home is located in Hillsboro, Florida, near a long stretch of Pompano Beach condos.

"Median Home Prices Near 2006 Peak"
A nationwide survey of over 50,000 real estate agents predicts home prices will increase 3.2 percent over the next 12 months. The median home price of existing homes in August was $230,200 - near the peak price of $230,900 in July 2006. Florida developers have launched over 30 pre-construction condo and home projects and was the only state where increases were predicted over 5 percent.

"Top 10 USA Football Towns"
Some of the country's most affordable home prices are also in the most popular football states. According to USA Today, the best football towns to visit are in Texas, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Georgia and Louisiana.
