Akers' Management System Certified to ISO 13485 (2003)

(Nasdaq: AKER) (AIM:AKR.L), ("Akers" or the "Company"), a medical device company focused on reducing the cost of healthcare through faster, easier diagnosis, announces that the Company's Management System has been certified by SAI Global, a leading global management systems Certification Body, to ISO 13485 (the "Certification"). The Certification is a requirement in certain countries to enable regulatory approval of medical devices.

ISO 13485 is an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard, published in 2003, that represents the requirements for a comprehensive quality management system for the design and manufacture of medical devices.
