In a 13G filing after the close Friday on AnnTaylor Stores (NYSE: ANN), Adage Capital disclosed a 5.8% stake (3,435,541 shares) in the women's apparel retailer. The firm held 2,415,101 shares at the quarter ended 03/31/08.
AnnTaylor Stores operates as a specialty retailer of women's apparel, shoes, and accessories in the United States. Shares of ANN are down 31% over the past year.
Adage Capital is a money management firm with over $8 billion of assets under management. In each of the last 15 years, the fund outperformed the S&P 500 index by an average of 3.5% per year.
