Aberdeen Emerging Markets Smaller Company Opportunities Fund, Inc. Announces Results Of Annual Meeting Of Shareholders

PHILADELPHIA, March 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Aberdeen Emerging Markets Smaller Company Opportunities Fund, Inc. (the "Fund")(NYSE MKT: ETF) held its Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the "Meeting") on March 26, 2015.  At the Meeting, shareholders of the Fund voted to re-elect two Class II Directors to the Board of Directors. 

As of the record date, February 6, 2015, there were 9,764,732 outstanding shares of the Fund.  93.759% of the outstanding shares were voted at the meeting representing a quorum.

The description of the proposal and number of shares voted at the Meeting are as follows:

To elect two Class II Directors to the Board of Directors:

Directors whose term of office continued beyond this meeting are as follows: Enrique R. Arzac, James J. Cattano and Martin M. Torino.
