AMC Theatres® Rolls out Reserved Seating to NYC Locations

AMC Theatres to let NYC movie-lovers guarantee their specific seat at all Manhattan AMCs

LEAWOOD, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AMC Theatres® (NYSE: AMC) is excited to announce moviegoers can now reserve their seat at Manhattan AMC locations. For movies beginning Friday, Sept. 2, guests who purchase a ticket, either online or at the box office, will select their seat at the time of purchase, similar to nearly every other entertainment venue in the city.

AMC currently offers reserved seating in 125 locations nationwide, primarily in its renovated theatres that feature plush, power recliners, including AMC 84th St. and AMC Village 7, as well as several IMAX® and Dolby Cinema® at AMC auditoriums. Guest feedback about reserved seating at these locations is overwhelmingly positive, and AMC is excited to expand this amenity to all of its Manhattan locations. This marks the first major market where AMC offers reserved seating at all locations.

AMC Kips Bay 15, which is currently undergoing a full theatre renovation, will add reserved seating once the renovation is complete later this fall.
