2nd & Charles Celebrates Star Wars Day with Special Event

Adding to its “Year of Star Wars” events, 2nd & Charles will hold a Star Wars Day celebration on May 2. Customers will be able to enter a costume contest, show off their Star Wars knowledge with a trivia challenge, win a Star Wars prize pack and participate in other Star Wars themed activities.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- 2nd & Charles is giving Star Wars fans the chance to show off their fandom with its Star Wars Day Celebration event. Between 2 and 4 pm on Saturday, May 2, customers at 2nd & Charles can enter a costume contest dressed as their favorite Star Wars character, test their Star Wars knowledge with a trivia contest and participate in many other Star Wars activities for adults and kids.

The in-store event will have something for Star Wars fans young and old, including a kid’s trivia contest, a Death Star Final Battle Maze activity, Darth Maul coloring sheet, Princess Leia activity sheet and more. Various Star Wars merchandise and other prizes will be awarded to the winners of the in-store costume and trivia contests.

Along with the Star Wars festivities, 2nd & Charles is making May 2 “Free Comic Book Day” at all stores. Customers will be able choose from a wide selection of their favorite comics and take one home for free.

2nd & Charles is also giving away a trip for two to the San Diego Comic Con® which takes place July 9 through July 12. To enter, go to the 2nd & Charles Facebook page and register between April 25 and July 25. The winner will receive tickets to the event, as well as accommodations and airfare to San Diego.

The prize pack includes many Star Wars fan favorites including Ultimate Star Wars, LEGO Star Wars in 100 scenes, the LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia and more.

Leading up to the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, fans can hunt for their favorite Star Wars items at their local 2nd & Charles store.
