Hawker Beechcraft 450XP to Feature Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Avionics and Venue Cabin Management System
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Hawker Beechcraft's new light jet, the Hawker 450XP, will feature Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics with significant enhancements in communication, navigation and surveillance capabilities, as well as Rockwell Collins Venue(TM) high definition cabin management system. First deliveries of the new aircraft equipped with Pro Line 21 and Venue are expected to begin in 2010.
Pro Line 21

Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 is also featured on Hawker Beechcraft's Hawker 900XP, Hawker 750, Beechcraft Premier IA, the complete King Air line-up (including the C90GTi, B200GT and 350) and the new Beechcraft Premier II.
Standard features of Pro Line 21 on the Hawker 450XP include:
-- Three 8x10 active matrix Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) that
use advanced graphic capabilities to provide intuitive,
at-a-glance situational depictions for all phases of flight.
-- Dual FMS-6000 flight management system with localizer
precision with vertical guidance (LPV) approach capability.
-- Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS) with electronic
charts and enhanced map overlays. The system is fully
integrated with the FMS to provide information such as
geo-referenced aircraft position overlaid on electronic charts
and airport diagrams.
-- GPS-4000S, a Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS)-enabled
navigation system that allows operators to utilize GPS as
primary means navigation.
-- TSS-4100 Integrated Traffic Surveillance System, which
combines the Traffic alert and Collision Avoidance System
(TCAS II) and Mode S transponder functions, as well as
emerging ADS-B applications, into a single unit.
Optional features include XM or datalink graphical weather for IFIS, 3D flight plan maps and data link communications system.
Venue
The selection of Rockwell Collin's Venue cabin management system is the first time it has been chosen for the Hawker Beechcraft's Light Jet category of aircraft. It will also be featured on Hawker Beechcraft's new King Air 350i.

Venue's key features to be offered on the Hawker 450XP include:

high-definition distribution system that enables passengers to
enjoy crystal-clear HD video from popular sources such as
Blu-Ray Discs and Xbox 360 game consoles.
-- Media Center Device - A new high definition entertainment
device that integrates a wide variety of entertainment
features into a small, cost-effective unit. Features include
an integrated Blu-Ray Disc player (also compatible with
standard definition DVDs); CD and MP3 Player; Audio and Video
Jukebox; optional integrated 3-D Airshow Moving Map with XM
Weather overlay, games, and front port USB input for loading
personal media, such as music, video and photos.
-- High Definition Monitors - New 10.6" in-seat and bulkhead LCD
monitors, providing true wide-screen, high definition display.
-- Digital Audio-on-Demand (AOD) - A new audio-on-demand feature
that allows passengers to bring on board their personal music
libraries for easy listening and sharing throughout the cabin.
-- Programmable Switch Panels - New Organic LED-equipped switch
panels featuring programmable soft buttons and an intuitive,
icon-based graphical user interface.
-- iPod Integration - iPod and iPhone integration options that
allow passengers to plug their personal iPod device into the
Venue system and distribute audio and video throughout the
cabin. The iPod can be remotely controlled at the seat through
a virtual iPod menu.
-- Personal Device Support - Multiple portable electronics are
supported for a variety of carry-on devices, including high
definition game consoles, laptop computers, MP3 players and
portable video players.
