Vodafone (VOD) Volatility Pops Early, Shares Inch Higher

Vodafone Group (Nasdaq: VOD) is seeing a massive spike in volatility Friday morning as shares start off lower on the session.
Market data has implied volatility up over 40 percent from Thursday's close to about 20 percent. The number puts it just ahead of its trailing annual daily average.
Shares are down about 0.4 percent early.
The stock is just below its 50-day SMA of $27.46 and 200-day DMA at $27.20.
