Goldman Sachs Recommends KLA-Tencor (KLAC) Option Volatility Ahead of Intel's Capex Guidance

Option strategists at Goldman Sachs are recommending buying volatility in KLA-Tencor (Nasdaq: KLAC) ahead of Intel's (Nasdaq: INTC) capex guidance that will come with its earnings report after the close on Thursday January 19th.
"Over the past 12 years, KLAC has moved +/-6.4% on INTC's 4Q capex guidance on its earnings release," Goldman noted. Intel's capex guidance can be more stock moving for KLAC than earnings, they said.
Equity analysts at Goldman see 35% downside to KLAC 2012 EPS.
