Ctrip.com (CTRP) volatility decreases as shares rally on better than expected EPS and outlook
Ctrip.com (Nasdaq: CTRP) is recently up $4.99 to $69.28. Ctrip, a Chinese travel service provider, reported Q3 EPS of 44c verses consensus estimates of 32c. Ctrip call option volume of 5,915 contracts compares to put volume of 7,574 contracts. November option implied volatility is at 51, below a level of 70 from November 10; December is at 47 below a level of 61 from November 10; and below its six-month average of 56 according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.
