Wells Fargo initiates coverage on Wintrust Financial (NASDAQ: WTFC) with a Market Perform. PT range $31-33.

Wells analyst says, "Despite both acquisitive and organic growth opportunities at the bank, we are neutral on the shares, due to the bank’s more muted return profile in the interim. We believe the current valuation of 1.0x tangible book value (TBV) largely reflects our expected 7% ROTCE in 2012."
