Wells Fargo initiates coverage on Micrel (NASDAQ: MCRL) with an Outperform. PT range $10-$12.

Analyst, David Wong, said, "Attractive features include the following: (1) focus on key growth drivers in industrial, communications, and automotive; (2) low concentration risk (more than 10,00 customers and 3,000 products in 12 product categories); (3) broad end-market diversification touching industrial, communications, handsets, computing, military, and other; (4) the possibility of a cyclical recovery in semiconductors (we think 5-10% growth in 2012 could be followed by 10-15% growth in 2013 for the chip industry); and (5) a solid balance sheet ($119 million in cash exiting the June 2012 quarter, with no debt)."
