Wells Fargo initiated coverage on Corinthian Colleges (NASDAQ: COCO) with a Market Perform and $2.25-$3 valuation range Tuesday afternoon.

The firm is concerned with "tepid" start growth as the uncertain of the economy is creating an environment "where students students are wary of the post-graduation job market." Even more, "Corinthian students still must rely on the company to provide financing for the portion of the program expense not covered by Title IV."

Wells Fargo expects FY12 EPS of 25 cents and FY13 EPS of 41 cents.
