Wachovia initiates coverage on Eaton Vance Corp. (NYSE: EV) with a Market Perform. Valuation Range: $28 to $30.
Wachovia analyst says, "Through the period ended April 30, EV has delivered 13 consecutive quarters of positive net flows, which we attribute to an array of attractive products and solid long-term performance. EV also has a talented and deep management team, that we believe is more focused on building long-term shareholder value than assets under management (AUM). However, the shares have rallied sharply in recent months and appear fairly valued relative to our 2010 EPS estimate. We'd prefer to wait for a pullback before getting more aggressive with the shares."
