Unusual 11 Mid-Day Movers 11/04: PACR, ABK, AGYS, RHB Higher; STEC, MNTG, CT, VG Lower

Pacer International (NASDAQ: PACR) 53.5% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.02, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.01).

STEC, Inc. (NASDAQ: STEC) 36.2% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.50, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.47. Revenue for the quarter was $98.30 million, which compares to the estimate of $96.58 million. Sees Q4 EPS $0.51 - $0.53, versus $0.52 consensus. Also sees Q409 sales $101 - $103 million, versus $106 million. The stock was also downgraded at ThinkEquity, Deutsche Bank and Wedbush.

Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: ABK) 34.2% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $7.58, versus a loss of $8.45 last year. The third quarter 2009 results reflect significant unrealized mark-to-market gains in the credit derivatives portfolio and gains resulting from reinsurance cancellations during the quarter.

Agilysys, Inc. (NASDAQ: AGYS) 34% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.12, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.19). Revenue for the quarter was $156 million, which compares to the estimate of $125 million.

RehabCare Group, Inc. (NYSE: RHB) 30.9% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.37, versus the analyst estimate of $0.38. Revenue for the quarter was $208 million, which compares to the estimate of $204.34 million. The stock was also upgraded at Thomas Weisel.

PMA Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: PMACA) 28.2% HIGHER; reports Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.21, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.17.

MTR Gaming (Nasdaq: MNTG) 26.2% LOWER; shares are sinking today as the state of Ohio has voted to approve the opening of several casinos in the state. MTR, which owns casinos in racetracks in West Virginia, opposed the plan. MTR likely fears the increased competition as Ohio gamblers will likely no longer cross the border to gamble.

Capital Trust, Inc. (NYSE: CT) 24% LOWER; last night reported a Q3 loss of $4.75, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.56).

Vonage Holdings Corp. (NYSE: VG) 23% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $0.33, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter was $222 million, which compares to the estimate of $236.58 million.

Lin TV (NYSE: TVL) 22.6% HIGHER; continuing sharply higher for the second day in a row (the stock rose 13% yesterday). We are not hearing any company-specific news that would justify today's move, however, volume is heavy.

True Religion Apparel Inc. (Nasdaq: TRLG) 18% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.58, 1 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.59. Revenue for the quarter was $82.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $84.62 million. True Religion sees FY revs of $295-$300 milion, versus the consensus of $303.1 million. Raises FY EPS to $1.82-$1.86, versus the consensus of $1.88.
