Griffin Securities initiates coverage on Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) with a Buy. PT $38.00.
Analyst, Jay Vleeschhouwer, said, "The bet here is that combination of massive investment resources, breadth, mega-scale and platform changes should in the long run make a positive difference to incremental growth (though total revenue growth will still be in the single-digits). In the intermediate term the Windows 8 product cycle ought to be favorable, based on its design and functionality attributes, including “touch” capabilities, and the availability of new hardware (including ultrabooks, tablets, and smartphones)."
"What makes Microsoft interesting is the potential for its gaining share in markets where it has had little presence to date and the potential long-term benefits of the variety of initiatives it has underway in and across multiple markets and technology platforms that pull together or leverage capabilities and IP from across the company."
