UBS initiates coverage on Linn Co, LLC (NASDAQ: LNCO) with a Buy. PT $41.00.
The firm comments, "LNCO's assets consist solely of limited partner interests in Linn Energy, LLC (LINE), a publicly-traded E&P MLP. Each LNCO share is backed one-for-one with a common unit of LINE, a relationship that is fixed. LNCO was created by LINE for two primary reasons: 1) to convert LINE's K-1 distribution to a 1099 qualified dividend and expand its investor base to MLP-adverse clients; and, 2) to create another LINE currency to accelerate its acquisition-driven growth strategy."
