Deutsche Bank resumed coverage on CenterPoint Energy (NYSE: CNP) with a Hold rating and a price target of $25.00. Analyst Lauren Duke sees "relative value" in CenterPoint versus peers, but does not see compelling "absolute value."

"CNP has strongly outperformed the group YTD (up 24% vs XLU up 12%), with 6%+ of that coming on the back of the announced joint MLP with OGE. While we view the MLP as a value-creating entity for CNP given the market valuation premium for MLPs and the additional growth opportunities provided by OGE's legacy midstream business, we believe the upside is mostly priced in," said Duke.

"Like a young, talented player still looking for consistency, Bakken pure-play Kodiak Oil & Gas' extremely high quality assets in the basin have been somewhat overshadowed by a challenging year for execution in 2012. We see significant long-term asset value and peer-leading cash flow growth, but with directional risk to the price of crude, and inherent risk in KOG's back-end loaded 2013 volume growth, we see a balanced risk-reward," said Todd.
