Oppenheimer Starts Vocera Communications (VCRA) at Outperform

Oppenheimer initiates coverage on Vocera Communications (NYSE: VCRA) with a Outperform rating and a price target of $15.00.

Analyst Mohan Naidu commented, "VCRA remains a unique player with a differentiated communication solution, in our view. However, recent weakness in growth has raised several questions about its products, competitive position, and hospitals' willingness to engage another device. We believe hospitals’ concentration on EHRs squeezed spending and resources away from projects like VCRA. We are starting to see a shift in hospitals' focus, and some hope of growth emerging, as hospitals look into solutions beyond EHRs. In addition, the company’s traction in non-voice solutions is moving favorably, which not only expands its opportunity but also changes the margin profile due to its software mix. We expect non-voice solutions and international markets to lift growth and diversify revenues. Initiate with Outperform, $15 PT."
