Natural Gas Stocks Higher on Hurricane Gustav Concerns (CHK, XCO, GDP, FST, SM, DVN, COG)

With natural gas trading up 6% today, on forecasts that show that Hurricane Gustav may enter the key Gulf of Mexico region, shares of many natural gas-related companies are higher.

Stocks: Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) +3%, EXCO Resources, Inc. (NYSE: XCO) +7%, Goodrich Petroleum (NYSE: GDP) +7%, Forest Oil Corp. (NYSE: FST) +3%, St. Mary Land & Exploration Co. (NYSE: SM) +2%, Devon Energy Corporation (NYSE: DVN) +3.6%, United States Natural Gas (AMEX: UNG) +5.9%, Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. (NYSE: COG) +4%.
