Gabelli & Co. initiates coverage on SunPower Corp. (SPWRA) with a Buy. Price target $90.
Gabelli analyst says, "Centered on technology leadership, SPWRA produces the highest efficiency commercially available solar modules allowing the company to command a premium in the market, the high efficiency leads to a smaller footprint which makes SunPower the preferred choice for rooftop installations. Using its technological superiority, we believe SunPower will be able to achieve its pledge to drive down the total installed cost per watt by 50% from '06 to '12."
