Collins Stewart initiates coverage on Amphenol Corp. (NYSE: APH) with a Buy rating and $57 price target.
The firm said, "Despite what feels like a U.S. economic recession and slowing global environment, we believe Amphenol will be able to deliver a strong June quarter and outlook for the remainder of 2008 due to the combination of new program ramps, along with the benefit of strong secular trends in the military/aerospace market and the company’s ability to capitalize on trends in developing economies Additionally, the company's strong competency in integrating accretive acquisitions provides additional wiggle room for Amphenol."
