Citigroup initiates coverage on POZEN Inc (Nasdaq: POZN) with a Buy. Price target $28.
Citigroup analyst says, " We believe Trexima provides several synergies/benefits to a class of products
called triptans, the current standard of care for the acute treatment for migraine headaches, which has a stable $2-billion market in the United States. Imitrex, marketed by Glaxo (NYSE: GSK), is the leader in the triptan market, with 2006 U.S. sales of $1.1 billion. Based on Phase III clinical trials, Trexima
has demonstrated superior efficacy to Imitrex alone with a comparable safety profile. Therefore, we believe Trexima will be the new gold standard treatment of migraine headaches."
