Citi Initiates Coverage on Skilled Healthcare Group (SKH) with a Sell

Citi initiates coverage on Skilled Healthcare Group (NYSE: SKH) with a Sell. Price target $11.

Citi analyst says, "We expect SKH shares to underperform over the next 12 months primarily due to increasing investor concerns regarding Medicare reimbursement risk. The stock is trading 30% below its 52-week high as investors have become concerned about the possibility of Medicare reimbursement cuts included in the president's February budget, but we are more concerned about the reimbursement risk that investors aren't worried about yet, the risk of a material RUG refinement. Indeed, this has been our worst nightmare for the nursing homes stocks since our CMS visit last spring - although we admit the timing of this risk has accelerated meaningfully."

Skilled Healthcare Group, Inc. is a provider of integrated healthcare services through its skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation therapy business. [SM]
