Citi Initiates Coverage on Medical Staffing Network Holdings (MRN) with a Sell

April 29, 2008 8:27 AM EDT

Citi initiates coverage on Medical Staffing Network Holdings (NYSE: MRN) with a Sell. Price target $3.

Citi analyst says, "The stock is currently trading approximately 23% below its 52 week high. Despite the sell-off, we expect the shares to underperform over the next 12months because consensus forward estimates are likely too high and our modest growth estimates don't support a higher 12month valuation.

MRN's mix of businesses exposes it to more of the slower growing, lower margin per diem business than its peers. On a relative basis, MRN's organic growth is expected to be slower and the company is more dependent on acquisition growth."

Medical Staffing Network Holdings, Inc. is a diversified temporary healthcare staffing company and a provider of per diem staffing services (staffing assignments of less than two weeks in duration) in the United States as measured by revenues. [SM]
