Brean Murray initiates coverage on Juniper Networks (Nasdaq: JNPR) with a Buy rating. Price target $20.
Brean analyst says, "While macro concerns are likely to temper Juniper’s growth during 2009, we think near-term risks are well understood by the Street, and we recommend buying the stock for its robust long-term growth opportunities within the carrier routing and enterprise space. With network traffic doubling every two years, we believe it’s only a matter of time before spending resumes, driving sustainable 20% growth for Juniper long term. As a result, we view Juniper as an early stage recovery play and recommend long-term investors buy on weakness."
