Brean Murray Carret & Co. initiates coverage on Incyte (NASDAQ: INCY) with a Buy rating and a price target of $22. The firm placed ESP estimates of -$0.32 and -$0.63 for FY10 and FY11.
The firm believes that approval from the FDA and EMEA for the drug INCB18424 is very likely. This will be the first approved drug for Myeloproliferative diseases and the next competitor is still two years behind nor does it treat many of the problems that characterize myelofibrosis (MF) and polycythemia (PV). There are currently of 283K patients that are currently diagnosed with MF or PV in Europe and U.S..
