Baird initiates coverage on Optimer Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: OPTR) with a Outperform. PT $16.00.
"We expect Dificid sales volume to continue a linear, long-term growth trajectory, but in the near term be aided by the elevation of influenza in the US this season," analyst Christopher Raymond said. "Although concerns around pricing have led to controversy around the commercial opportunity, we believe the steady increase in market share is a reason to be optimistic that the recent pressure on shares is unwarranted."
