Casella Waste Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CWST) 9.6% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $0.11, versus the analyst estimate of ($0.01). Revenue for the quarter was $135.9 million, versus the consensus of $132.07 million. Reaffirms FY10 sales outlook.
Oxford Industries (NYSE: OXM) 9.2% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.30 adjusted, 23 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter was $192.9 million, versus the consensus of $189.91 million. Sees FY09 revs $765M to $780M. Sees FY09 EPS 90c to $1.05.
InnerWorkings, Inc. (Nasdaq: INWK) 9.2% LOWER; lowers its FY09 sales guidance from $450-$475 million to $400-$425 million, versus the consensus of $443.22 million. EPS for the year move from $0.35-$0.39 to $0.14-$0.20, which compares to the Street estimate of $0.28.
Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: HOV) 7% LOWER; reports Q3 loss of $2.16, versus the analyst estimate of ($1.52). Revenue for the quarter was $387.1 million, versus the consensus of $392.18 million. Q3 delivery of 1,322 homes.
Merge Healthcare Incorporated. (Nasdaq: MRGE) 7% LOWER; filed a registration statment with the SEC covering the sale of up to 5,422,104 shares on behalf of selling shareholders. Merge Healthcare will not receive any of the proceeds from the sale of these shares of common stock by the selling stockholders.
Collective Brands Inc. (NYSE: PSS) 5.4% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.29, 4 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter was $836.3 million, versus the consensus of $842.72 million. Comps down 7.3%.
American Software (Nasdaq: AMSWA) 2.9% LOWER; reports Q1 adj-EPS of $0.08, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.05. Revenue for the quarter was $17.8 million, versus the consensus of $18.69 million.
Martek Biosciences Corporation (Nasdaq: MATK) 2.4% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.27 versus the analyst estimate of $0.27. Revenue for the quarter was $77.8 million, versus the consensus of $82.31 million. Martek sees Q4 revs $87 million and $92 million versus consensus of $91.92M. Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: AUXL) 2.4% LOWER; today announced that The New England Journal of Medicine has published in its September 3rd edition, the Company's pivotal CORD I Phase III clinical trial of XIAFLEX(TM) (collagenase clostridium histolyticum) a novel, first-in-class, biologic for the nonsurgical treatment of Dupuytren's contracture. The CORD I study is the largest prospective clinical trial ever conducted in the field of Dupuytren's contracture. Treatment with XIAFLEX significantly reduced the angle of contracture for patients with Dupuytren's contracture in both their metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints, with clinically meaningful responses in both less severe and more severe contractures.
Zumiez Inc. (NASDAQ: ZUMZ) 2.3% HIGHER; August comparable store sales decreased 12.1% for the four-week period, versus a comparable store sales increase of 0.2% in the year ago period.
Endo Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ENDP) 1.9% LOWER; was informed by FDA that the agency has extended its review period for its long-acting testosterone undecanoate injection for men diagnosed with hypogonadism, from Sept. 2, 2009 to Dec. 2, 2009. Endo Pharmaceuticals said, while the FDA has not requested additional data, the agency has informed the company that it needs more time to complete its review of the application and finalize the risk evaluation and mitigation strategy for this product.
Greif Brothers (NYSE: GEF) 1.3% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.88, ex-items, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.86. Revenue for the quarter was $717.6 million, versus the consensus of $768.55 million. Sees FY09 EPS of $3.25-$3.50, versus the consensus of $3.30.
SAIC, Inc. (NYSE: SAI) 1% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.31, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.30. Revenue for the quarter was $2.75 billion, versus the consensus of $2.72 billion.
