Volterra Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: VLTR) 11.5% LOWER; reports Q3 non-GAAP EPS of $0.19, versus the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenue for the quarter was $29.7 million, which compares to the estimate of $29.70 million.
SolarWinds Inc. (NYSE: SWI) 10.7% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.17, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter was $32.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $31.08 million. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.15-$0.16, cons $0.16. Sees Q4 sales of $32.8-$34.2 million, versus the consensus of $33.18 million.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) 6.8% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $1.82, 40 cents better than the analyst estimate of $1.42. Revenue for the quarter was $9.87 billion, which compares to the estimate of $9.20 billion. Sees Q1 EPS of $1.70-$1.78, versus the consensus of $1.91, no sales of $11.3-$11.6 billion, versus the consensus of $11.45 billion.
Packaging Corporation of America (NYSE: PKG) 6.8% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.25, ex-items, inline with the analyst estimate of $0.25. Revenue for the quarter was $554 million, which compares to the estimate of $548.82 million. Sees Q4 EPS of about $0.13, which compares to the Street estimate of $0.17.
Nara Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: NARA) 4.8% LOWER; has commenced an offering of approximately $70 million of its common stock in an underwritten public offering through Keefe, Bruyette & Woods. The Company intends to grant the underwriter an option to purchase up to an additional 15% of common stock sold in the offering to cover over-allotments, if any.
Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ: WERN) 3.3% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.26, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenue for the quarter was $429.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $427.9 million.
Atheros Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATHR) 3.1% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.46, 8 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.38. Revenue for the quarter was $156.6 million, which compares to the estimate of $147.08 million.
Steel Dynamics (NASDAQ: STLD) 3.1% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.30, 7 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.23. Revenue for the quarter was $1.2 billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.06 billion. Sees a small profit for the year.
IMS Health (NYSE: RX) 3% HIGHER; soared 20% in the final minutes of trading Monday following a report from the Wall Street Journal that the company is in an advanced talks with private equity firms to sell itself. Offers for the company could come at a 30% premium, valuing the company at about $3.5 billion.
Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX) 2.6% LOWER; reports Q3 adj-EPS of $0.19, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $2.02 billion, which compares to the estimate of $2.04 billion. Sees Q4 adj-EPS of $0.17-$0.21, on sales of $2.025-$2.125 billion. The Street is currently looking for Q4 EPS and sales of $0.17. and $2.10 billion, respectively.
Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN) 2.4% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.42, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.39. Revenue for the quarter was $2.88 billion, which compares to the estimate of $2.82 billion. Texas Instruments sees Q4 $2.78-$3.02 billion, versus the consensus of $2.78 billion. Sees EPS of $0.43-$0.51, versus consensus of $0.40.
ICU Medical (NASDAQ: ICUI) 2.3% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.42, versus the analyst estimate of $0.32. Revenue for the quarter was $54 million, which compares to the estimate of $50.39 million. Affirms FY09 sales guidance. Raises FY09 EPS to $1.74 - $1.79, compared to the previously announced $1.62 - $1.71. The consensus FY09 EPS is $1.66.
The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TJX) 2% HIGHER; said now expects diluted earnings per share from continuing operations to be in the range of $.77 to $.79. The consensus is $0.74. The Company has also raised its estimate for full year Fiscal 2010 results, reflecting the expected stronger third quarter. For the full year Fiscal 2010, TJX now expects diluted earnings per share from continuing operations in the range of $2.46 - $2.54. The consensus is $2.49.
JDA Software Group Inc. (Nasdaq: JDAS) 1.9% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.40, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.36. Revenue for the quarter was $95.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $92 million.
Whitney Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: WTNY) 1.9% LOWER; reports third quarter loss of $0.50, cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.30).
Zions Bancorp (NASDAQ: ZION) 1.7% LOWER; reports Q3 Loss of $1.41, 19 cents worse than the analyst estimate of ($1.22).
