Telik, Inc. (Nasdaq: TELK) 16.2% HIGHER; announced the publication of the positive results from a Phase 1-2a multicenter, dose-ranging study of TELCYTA in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel as first-line therapy for patients with nonsmall cell lung cancer in a leading peer reviewed publication, the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, October 2009; Vol. 4, No. 10. Data on this study were presented at the 98th annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research on April 17, 2007.

Glimcher Realty Trust, (NYSE: GRT) 11.5% LOWER; announced that the agreement for the sale of its Lloyd Center property, a fully enclosed regional mall located in Portland, Oregon, to Merlone Geier Partners IX, L.P. has been terminated. Merlone Geier Partners had the option to terminate the agreement in its sole discretion on or before September 30, 2009.

Oncolytics Biotech Inc. (NASDAQ: ONCY) 10% HIGHER; Dr. Brad Thompson, President and CEO of Oncolytics will host a conference call and webcast on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 6:30 a.m. MT (8:30 a.m. ET) to update investors on the Company's Phase 3 program for REOLYSIN(R).

QLT Inc. (Nasdaq: QLTI) 9% HIGHER; announced that it has completed the sale of all of the shares of its wholly-owned subsidiary, QLT USA, Inc. to TOLMAR Holding for up to an aggregate of US$230 million. Click here to see the full report.

Immucor (Nasdaq: BLUD) 5.8% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.30, 5 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.25. Revenue for the quarter was $83.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $77.83 million. Immucor also reaffirms its forecast.

First Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: FSLR) 5% HIGHER; will replace Wyeth in the S&P 500 on a date to be announced.

Resources Connection (Nasdaq: RECN) 2.4% LOWER; reports Q1 loss of ($0.16), which may not compare to the analyst estimate of ($0.04). Revenue for the quarter was $118.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $119.79 million.

Smart Modular Technologies (Nasdaq: SMOD) 2.3% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.05, ex-items, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.01). Revenue for the quarter was $99.8 million, which compares to the estimate of $96.78 million. Sees Q1 adj-EPS of $0.02-$0.04 on sales of $98-$105 million. The Street is currently looking for quarterly EPS and sales of $0.03 and $110.91 million, respectively.

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) 2% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.39, versus the analyst estimate of $0.63. Revenue for the quarter was $5.15 billion, which compares to the estimate of $5.11 billion. Sees Q1 sales of $5.3-$5.5 billion, versus the consensus of $21.99 billion. Sees FY10 EPS of $2.64-$2.72, which compares to the Street estimate of $2.77. Announces a $4 billion buyback. Also raised its dividend by 50% to $0.75.

Newcastle Investment Corp. (NYSE: NCT) 2% LOWER; announced today that its Board of Directors has elected not to pay a common stock or preferred stock dividend for the third quarter of 2009. The Company decided to retain capital for liquidity and for working capital purposes.

Key Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE: KEG) 2% LOWER; announced that it anticipates recording a $65 to $70 million pre-tax charge in the third quarter of 2009 related to the retirement of well service rigs from its domestic fleet. Key expects to recognize a pre-tax charge of $90 to $100 million in the third quarter of 2009. Key currently believes the Q3 EPS will fall within a range of ($0.19) to ($0.23) versus consensus ($0.12).

Pervasive Software Inc. (Nasdaq: PVSW) 1.8% HIGHER; sees first quarter non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.07 to $0.08. Guidance for the first quarter given in the company's July 21, 2009 press release was for non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of approximately $0.04 to $0.07. The consensus is $0.06. Pervasive Software sees Q1 revenues of $11.9 million to $12.2 million, versus the consensus of is $11.3 million. For the second fiscal quarter, Pervasive expects non-GAAP adjustments to result in non-GAAP diluted and fully taxed earnings per share of approximately $0.05 to $0.08. The company sees revenues of $11.0 million to $12.0 million.
